What is Immersive Engineering?

Immersive Engineering is the bridge between the physical and digital worlds, enabling a transformative experience in 3D CAD within the Industrial Metaverse. Siemens, in partnership with Sony, has developed a cutting-edge solution that combines Siemens NX Immersive Designer software with Sony’s XR head-mounted display. This innovative partnership empowers students with the tools and skills needed to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce, providing the most natural and intuitive way to create and experience digital twins of products and processes.

Who can participate?

• Eligibility: Bachelors, Master’s, or PhD students enrolled through March 2025.
• Team Requirements: 3–5 students from diverse disciplines, supported by an Academic mentor. At least one member should have CAD/NX experience or willingness to learn.
• Passion: Enthusiasm for sustainability and a drive to develop digital and collaborative skills.
