During the first week of November 4-10th November, took place the 69th ESTIEM Council Meeting…
The EPICES (European Platform for Innovation and Collaboration between Engineer Students) project was co-funded by Erasmus+ and managed by the French National Erasmus+ Agency under the Key Action 2 “Strategic Partnership” program with the reference 2014-1-FR01-KA203-008560. It started on September 1st, 2014 and ended on January 31, 2017.
Coordinated by ISMEP-Supmeca (France), it also involved Aalto University (Finland), Riga Technical University (Latvia), KU Leuven (Belgium), Politecnico di Torino and Universita di Napoli Federico II (Italy), Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain) and SEFI.
The main outcomes of EPICES are the following:
- A platform, which enables the facilitation of PBL amongst multidisciplinary engineering courses, allowing the selection of suitable teacher facilitation roles for the coaching of students in project-based learning,
- A quantitative assessment method applicable to different engineering disciplines, helping teachers to evaluate the students’ learning results, analyze acquired skills individually, calculate the final grade of the course and analyze the whole project group performance,
- Training packages for teachers.
All the results of EPICES have been presented and disseminated at both international (for example at SEFI annual conferences 2015 and 2016 or at WEEF 2015) and local events and are available online on a dedicated website.
